I am not a fast reader. I am also easily distracted but have always had a love of literature and the written word. Some of my most anxious moments have been setting out for a long journey and discovering that I have nothing to read! In trying to balance reading for pleasure with knowledge seeking I relish when a book reveals a little secret of the universe. Yet sometimes I just want to read about a Viking warrior cleaving his foe in twain! it is rare and wonderful when you find a writer who give the reader both of these joys at once.
