Hill torrents Management in Arid Environment

The hill-torrent region in arid environment of Pakistan is generally associated with low return per unit of water and land due to unpredictable supply of torrent flows for agriculture use. Spate irrigation system based on hill torrent floods is practiced in different parts of the world, e.g. Middle East, Africa, West Asia, and Latin America.
