General

This is a story about a young girl Katerina from Saransk, a gifted pianist whose parents were expelled from Leningrad in 35, by chance became the wife of a general of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a much older, tough and rude person. Together with her husband, they move to the place of his new appointment - to Moscow. Events unfold in the year 52–53 against the backdrop of a time called the "Stalin Empire". She meets Rita, an artist of the Moscow Operetta, a bright, impudent, extraordinary girl, whom she literally falls in love with and wants to be like her in everything. This is a story about relationships, domestic violence, love and betrayal, dreams and their fulfillment.
