Detailed information

One of English students' main problems with vocabulary learning is that it is here today, gone tomorrow. This study focuses on distinctions memory strategies make. It is an effort towards informing and convincing teachers as well as students to use these strategies and find the right path in language learning. The Depth of Processing Hypothesis (DPH) suggests that the more cognitively one is engaged in learning a word, the more likely it is to remember it later. As a matter of fact, memory strategies are the instances of the deep level processing.
