Detailed information

Nagpur, the greenest city and the best city to live in as per the current survey of 2013, is centrally located in the heart of India. However, Nagpur's farness from the sea is responsible for its dry and humid climatic conditions that remain for the most part of the year. The changes in the climatic condition due to human activities, industrialization, and the growth of large urban centers accompanied by an increase in population put stress on the aquatic environment posing a question of the suitability of water for the intended purpose and the disinfection methods thereupon. So, there is a need to study the environmental aspect, performance evaluation of the disinfectant. In the present research to study the environmental aspect, performance evaluation and effectiveness of chlorinating agents in swimming pools and water parks, fifteen swimming pools and water parks have been selected in and around Nagpur based on certain criteria. The study is carried out by using traditionally used chlorinating agents like chlorine gas, liquid chlorine, and bleaching powder and replacing them by TCCA. After carrying out a number of experiments based on the selected parameter.
