Aim: to study the clinical, biological and etiological aspects of hypothyroidism. Methodology: Retrospective study from September 2011 to April 2014 on 47 patients seen in consultation and hospitalization. Results: the frequency of hypothyroidism was 7.38% (n = 637) and the prevalence was 2.07% (n = 2265) with a sex ratio of 0.11. The peak frequency was noted in subjects over 40 years of age with 46.80%. The functional signs found were: headache (17%), physical asthenia (8.5%), psychomotor slowdown (4.3%), hearing loss (4.3%), constipation (4.3%) chilliness (3.1 %), hypersomnia (4.3%), muscle cramps (2.1%).
