Detailed information

Induction motors are the most widely used electrical motors due to their reliability, low cost and robustness. However, induction motors do not inherently have the capability of variable speed operation. Due to this reason, during the past decades dc motors are applied in most of the electrical drives. But the recent developments in speed control methods of the induction motor have led to their large scale use in almost all electrical drives. This book is carried out to develop a simple torque and flux ripple reduction technique with the help of space vector PWM based DTC for three phase induction motor using hybrid algorithms. An attempt has been made to combine the hybrid algorithms like Particle Swarm Optimization tuned Adaptive Neuro Fuzzy Inference System (PSO-ANFIS), Firefly Algorithm tuned ANFIS (FA-ANFIS) and Enhanced Firefly Algorithm tuned ANFIS (EFA-ANFIS) controllers for evaluating the dynamic operational performance of DTC based induction motor drive particularly during low speed and sub-synchronous speed range of operation.
