Detailed information

Moringa oleifera is considered an agricultural species that can help ensure global sustainability due to its wide application, ease of cultivation, and high yield. it is also used as a dietary fortifier in many regions of the world because of its high nutritional value. Due to this range of qualities, the demand for Moringa oleifera products has increased significantly worldwide. Thus, it is essential to look for ways to accelerate and uniformly control seed germination and seedling attainment in order to obtain seedlings with high genetic and phytosanitary quality. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of different concentrations of sodium hypochlorite in surface disinfestation of M. oleifera seeds, evaluate different types of culture medium, concentrations of salts and sucrose on in vitro germination and analyze the induction of callus in segments of epicotyl of M. oleifera.
