It is the fourth novel that Zidane writes in his series "The History of Islam''s Dates", which is a series of historical novels that deal with the stages of Islamic history from its inception until the modern era, in which the writer and historian Jerji Zidan focused on the element of suspense and excitement, with the aim of carrying people to read history without tiredness or Boredom, and the publication of historical knowledge between the largest segment of them, as the narrative work remains closer to people and remains in their minds than serious scientific study. This narration dealt with an important and thorny topic at the same time, which is the killing of Ali bin Abi Talib by the external Abd al -Rahman bin Maljam al -Muradi, the reasons for the great strife and the conflict over the caliphate between Ali, Muawiyah and Amr bin Al -Aas and the transmission of the caliphate to the Umayyads. Zidane continues this historical era through his distinguished novel narration and its transition as usual between two basic node: a historical node and a romantic node, and the romantic knot here was the story of Saeed, Khawla and the details of their virgin love and obstacles that faced the story with a wonderful and interesting plot.
