The history of Egypt from the Ottoman conquest to 1916

The history of Egypt in the modern era is characterized by dynamic, as its records are filled with important events that are difficult for any historian to summarize in one sentence. The period of the Ottoman Empire began in Egypt since 1517 AD, when Sultan Salim I succeeded in eliminating the Mamluk state and executing its last sultans, "Toman Bay". Despite this, the Mamluks took advantage of the weakness of the Ottoman Empire, as Ali Bey Al -Kabeer succeeded in assuming power, but control returned to the Ottomans again. After that came the French campaign against Egypt, which lasted for three years, followed by the assumption of "Muhammad Ali" and raising the country''s level. However, it faced his renaissance by Europe and was eliminated in 1840 AD. Europe continued to enter Egypt''s affairs until it occupied it in 1882 AD.
