The topic is "Evaluation of the Challenges and Prospects of digital Broadcasting in Benue State". The study was designed to ascertain the influence of digitalization in broadcast stations in Nigeria looking at the challenges and the prospects that can bear on the need for digitization of broadcast stations in Benue state. The study used survey method in gathering data for analysis, and it was discovered that, analog services to broadcasting may have had a very limited impact than digital which is assumed to be more effective in broadcast media stations. The study anchored on Uses and gratification theory while it deals with the way in which different individuals use media and the gratification they derive from its use. The study concluded that, digital broadcasting is an advanced broadcasting technology that can transform radio stations output experience. It will enable broadcasters to offer radio with better sound and quality output. The study also found that there is a new technology with a more efficient way of transmitting quality sound and audio output by turning them into computerized data.
