»The Legally Protected Interest of the Offence 'handling stolen data' - Investigations into Section 202d StGB«: The statutory offence of section 202d StGB ('handling stolen data') requires criteria for the legal attribution of data, but does not define them, as German law lacks a uniform legal system in this regard. This problem is examined by determining the legally protected interest (Rechtsgut) of section 202d StGB. It is shown that the handling of stolen data represents a statutory offence to protect semantic information stored as data.
