Voix de Femmes

Voix de Femmes is a literary reader of contemporary French and francophone women writers who shed light on women's circumstances with a great variety of styles and points of view. Includes works by Germaine de StaÎl, Simone de Beauvoir, Luce Irigaray, Elisabeth Badinter, FranÁoise Parturier, Annie Leclerc, Colette, Nathalie Sarraute, George Sand, Marguerite Yourcenar, Marguerite Duras, Monique Wittig, Christiane Rochefort, Marie Cardinal, FranÁoise Mallet-Joris, Chantal Chawaf, and Annie Ernaux. Also featured are texts by French-speaking women outside of France including Anne HÈbert, Antonine Maillet and Simone Schwarz-Bart. Learning aids that accompany the text include introductions to each author, on-page vocabulary translation, a French-English glossary, and an extensive bibliography.
