Once Vika realizes that she can no longer bear the cruel treatment and rudeness of her rich and successful husband and, taking advantage of his departure, decides to run away. She abandons everything - a house with a servant, a new car, almost all of her belongings and jewelry - and runs away from this circle of rich, beautiful life. At first he hides with a friend, urgently needs work and housing, but without experience and education, it is almost impossible to do this. The case helped - she was hired as a governess to the daughter of a wealthy businessman, living in their country house. Almost the same house as she had, the same helpers, the same security, only now she is not the mistress here, but the &quote;service staff.&quote; A difficult relationship develops with a spoiled girl and her mother, but Vika tries in various ways to find an approach to her ward. How hard it is to live in someone else's house - not to sit where you want, not to eat when you want, not to talk on the phone. And she also discovers that everything is not so simple in this house, there is clearly some kind of secret, and the strange behavior of the hostess convinces her of this.
