Rock Chemistry

Weathering involves important processes that alter the original structure, texture and chemical components of a granitic rock. This paper evaluates some chemical indexes as indicators of the weathering state of granites used in ashlars and to establish the correlation between these indices and the index physical properties of the rocks.
