Although several books on hazardous marine animals are available, a comprehensive book on the stingrays of the world is still wanting. This book provides details on different stingray families, namely Potamotrygonidae, Dasyatidae, Gymnuridae, Myliobatidae, Urolophidae, Hexatrygonidae and Plesiobatidae, including common name, geographical distribution, conservation, importance to humans, danger to humans, biological characteristics, food habits, reproduction, predators, and parasites.
