Planning for Cleanup of Large Areas Contaminated as a Result of a Nuclear Accident

This the second of three IAEA publications dealing with the cleanup of large areas contaminated as a result of a nuclear accident. It is mainly a planning and management document, outlining the broad strategic and tactical approach to cleanup, the management structure and other key requirements. The report also shows how the various subplans interface and interact to ensure that cleanup can be performed safely, efficiently and as quickly as possible under adverse conditions.
